The U of C and the Outdoor Council of Canada are conducting a survey on non-motorized recreation in Alberta.
This survey takes about 10 minutes, plus a bit of prep time, and your help could bring benefit to the quality of recreational activities available in Alberta. As you know, motorized outdoor recreation enthusiasts are well-organized and often tout the monetary expenditures they make on their vehicles and tourism.
The survey will ask what outdoor non-motorized activities you participate in, and how often. Birding or nature walks could be added under “Other”.
Be prepared to write the total expenditures of your outdoor pursuits year-round, such as money you spend on photography equipment and travel expenses including food and accommodation. Don’t forget what you spend on clothing, gear, training, maintenance of gear, rentals, guides, etc.
