Description:

For the May installment of the Nature Calgary Speakers Series, Andrew Hart will present “Nature Calgary at Waterton National Park:

Presented by Andrew Hart, past president, Nature Calgary.  For the last nine years Andrew has led the annual Nature Calgary “Waterton Weekend”.  The tenth trip will be this July, a wonderful way to enjoy the National Park in this 150th year of confederation.  Andrew will talk about the park, its flora and fauna, and some of the hikes that we have enjoyed on past visits.  The focus will be on places, birds, plants, and animals that participants can expect  to see on one of these trips.

Come out and learn about this wonderful park in Canada’s 150th year!

Please note that Nature Calgary general meetings are free to Nature Calgary members as well as for non-members who are attending for the first time.  Non-members who attend a meeting for the second or more times are asked to pay a nominal fee of $5.00 per event.

Note that Nature Calgary’s monthly Speaker Series general meetings will be held on the third Tuesday of each month this year, at Cardel Theatre, in the southeast area of Quarry Park.  This fabulous new theatre-style hall has been made available to non-profit organizations at very low cost by Cardel Foundations. Because of this, the Foundations would appreciate participants’ donations of non-perishable food for the Calgary Food Bank, placed in their Food Bank Box in the theatre lobby.

Apologies to any members who attempted to attend the March Meeting at the Cardel Theatre – This venue IS booked for this meeting – and special thanks to the Glenmore Inn for hosting the March presentation on short notice!!!
