The May Meeting for the Nature Calgary Bird Study Group will feature a presentation by Gerald Romanchuk, titled Chasing 300:

Gerald has been birding for a little over 15 years. He is a long time volunteer with the Edmonton Nature Club, serving on the executive since the club’s formation 12 years ago. He has led numerous club field trips. He is a co-moderator on the very popular Albertabird list-serv. (Alberta Bird chat site). Gerald will talk about his quest to see 300 species of bird in Alberta in a single year. He achieved this in 2013, an accomplishment which put him in very select company.

Note: Bird Study Group meetings are free to Nature Calgary members as well as for non-members who are attending for the first time.  Non-members who attend a meeting for the second or more times are asked to pay a nominal fee of $5.00 per event.
