Stewardship -

NC is partnering in a research project led by the Weaselhead/Glenmore Park Preservation Society, supported by staff from the City of Calgary and Cows & Fish, to investigate control of invasive shrubs in riparian areas. The project will take place in the Weaselhead over the next three years, starting in May/June of 2011. Volunteers willing to help with this project are welcome! Contact Sarah Nevill at sarahcalgary*@*yahoo.ca or 403-663-9951 for details.

If you have an area that needs some TLC and would like an expert resource to identify non-native invasive plants, please contact us. We have experienced speakers and field trip leaders that can explain the threat that Invasives pose and assist in action events.
If you would like to volunteer for an event, contact us or see below... Always rewarding -- great for all ages!

Representation -

Nature Calgary has a long history of being involved in environmental issues. Representatives are active on several Natural Area committees and frequently provide input at Open Houses and information sessions.

The Nature Calgary Board ensures that Nature Calgary remains an energetic and active organization. Joining the Board is a great way to meet new people and get the satisfaction of a job well done!
