Through skillful narration and camerawork, THE MESSENGER takes on a visually stunning and intimate journey into the endangered world of the songbird and the need for immediate intervention to prevent their extinction. According to international birding expert Dr. Bridget Stutchbury, who is featured in the documentary, we may have lost almost half the songbirds that filled the skies fifty years ago.
This documentary by the makers of the “Nature of Things” episode “Songbird SOS” will be shown at the Calgary International Film Festival on Oct 2 7pm, and Oct 3 noon.
