The Calgary-area birding competition, eBird Calgary 2015, is now open for registration. Just click on the yellow button to the right labelled Birding Competition 2015 for information and registration. Adults, kids, and families are all welcome to participate, whether members of Nature Calgary or not. Members can register free up to Dec 31, 2014. We encourage everyone to register before Jan 1, 2015.

Whether you are a beginning birder or have years of experience, this opportunity allows you to shake off normal routines, get some exercise, make new friends and keep your mind active and healthy. Participants in eBird Calgary 2015 will try to find as many bird species as possible within a circle centred at the Centre Street Bridge, with an 80-km radius. They will record their finds in eBird, and compete for prizes for the most species in the 80-km circle, Big Year Yard List, Big Day, and other categories.
