Nature Calgary members are very concerned about proposed structures and changes at Inglewood Bird Sanctuary. These include additional trails, a playground, other structures related to the Bend in the Bow regional planning project, and the TD Outdoor Classroom. Our position is that the sanctuary exists to provide bird habitat, not to attract more visitors and provide more amenities; it need not be all things to all people. We have sent letters to City Parks and the Mayor and Council, and we encourage members to provide input as well. Read Nature Calgary’s letters on our Issues page. We are also supporting Inglewood Community Association’s appeal of the development permit for the TD Outdoor Classroom. City’s Bend in the Bow website.
